Stephen
"Steve" McCarty used to live in Pompano Beach, Florida, just a few minutes
from the Atlantic Ocean. But as of 3/24/03 he relocated his
business to the town of Ocala Fl. For several years, Steve installed new aquariums
in homes and offices for a prominent retail company. Even though he
faithfully followed the manufacturers' directions, an unacceptably-large
percentage of the tanks would burst or develop leaks during installation.
They just were not built strong enough to handle all the water pressure.
Steve knew there had to be a better way, and he set out to find it.
When
Steve was satisfied with his discoveries, he and his partners founded
Aquariums by the Sea and started producing the wonderfully made systems
and cabinetry that are so proudly displayed in homes and offices around
the world.
Steve's
hobbies are collecting tropical fish (He currently maintains one 300-gallon
tank - down from several of 3,000 gallons!) … and music.
